Flava Packs’ Beef and Black Bean Recipe

IngrEdients
Bavette Steak or steak of your choice.
Marinade
Soy Sauce, Oyster Sauce, Chinese Rice Vinegar, Fish Sauce, Honey, Ginger, Rosemary, White Pepper
Your Choice of Flava Packs' Jerk Seasoning.
Black Beans
3 Eggs (beaten)
Rice (freshly cooked)
Sugar snap peas, Bok Choi.
Onion and Bell Peppers (Cut in chunks)
Spring Onion (Sliced, save green bits to top)
Sesame Oil
Cornstarch
Olive Oil
Your Choice of Flava Packs' Jerk Seasoning.
Unsalted Butter
Salt
Method
Mix all the ingredients for the marinade together and pour over steaks. Marinate for 2hrs max.
Whilst the steak is marinating, pre cook some rice for the egg fried rice and prep all the veg.
Remove the steaks and pat dry, coat with oil and season with salt.
Heat up a wok and add some oil and a bit of sesame oil.
Once smoking, add the vegetables ,some of the marinade from the steak and mix immediately.
Fry for a few minutes.
Add the fried veg to a something to keep warm.
Heat the Wok up again, adding more oil this time to fry the eggs.
Add the beaten eggs to the smoking oil, fry for a minute then mix into scrambled eggs.
Add the cooked rice, spring onions and some marinade.
Heat some oil and butter in a little saucepan.
Add some flava packs’ and the black beans, mix then add the bean water and the last of the marinade. (Hopefully you still have some left).
Leave to reduce for a few minutes.
Mix a tsp of cornstarch in some cold water to make a paste, add to black beans to thicken.
Heat up a frying pan on a high heat.
Add the steaks and fry to your preference.
Remove steaks, leave to rest then thinly slice.
Compile in a bowl, chuck some chilli and spring onion on top and serve.
